My Services
Individual therapy is a journey through which patients work one-on-one with a trained mental health therapist—in a safe, caring, and confidential environment—to explore their feelings, beliefs, or behaviors, work through past trauma, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals, and/or work toward desired change.
Therapy will not only help patients cope with major life challenges or childhood trauma, deal with depression, anxiety, mental health, and/or substance abuse issues, but also to simply develop personal growth and greater self-knowledge and confidence. Each patient's path will be personalized to meet their unique needs and personal goals.
Group therapy is a journey through which a small group of people meet face-to-face with a trained therapist to talk about a particular issue with which all of them are struggling—such as grief/bereavement, anger management, teen issues, couples therapy, mental health and/or substance abuse disorders, etc.
Under the direction of the mental health therapist, members share and explore their feelings and behaviors, hear different points of view and coping strategies, and receive encouragement from others facing similar issues. Group therapy provides participants a powerful opportunity to share and learn from others in a safe and supportive environment while working toward healing and change.
Couples therapy is a journey through which a couple works with a trained mental health therapist to identify specific areas of conflict and/or aspects of their relationship they would like to change, and then develops a plan of action to improve each individual’s satisfaction and contentment.
While working with a mental health therapist in a safe and confidential setting, couples are able to explore how their individual backgrounds, beliefs, thoughts, and behaviors are impacting their relationship in both positive and negative ways. The therapist may assist the couple with addressing any immediate and pressing problems, as well as developing strategies for protecting and enhancing the long-term health and happiness of their relationship.
Belizaire Psychological Services & Consulting also offers couples retreats to better explore, process, and address these relationship needs.
Sex is obviously a “contact sport”, but if you ever involved sexually with a mate, you quickly discover its spiritual and psychological connections. As humans, we at times have things in our daily lives that prevent us from fully enjoying such three -dimensional aspect of sex.
Here at Belizaire Psychological Services and Consulting, we are dedicated to not only finding the dots, but to assist you in reconnecting those dots that will eventually connect you to your partner and eventually connect the partners to their respective sexual senses.
Not only do we offer sexual educational sessions to our patients, but we also provide a welcoming environment for your individual sexual preference, practices and norms as long as those practices fall within the legal restraints of the society in which we live.
Family therapy brings together members of a family to work through situation or relationship issues. Concerns may include changes in family relationships, conflict, health issues, addiction, trauma, behaviors, teen issues, etc. Therapists will help the family recognize their patterns, build on the positive, and develop alternatives; providing all family members a voice in the process. In turn, addressing family issues in therapy will help make the entire family stronger.
Certified Peer Recovery Specialists can be assigned as peer mentors to individuals struggling with substance abuse issues to provide individual and group recovery support services.
