Belizaire Psychological Services & Consulting
Led by Dr. Belizaire, LMHC, CAP; we are a group of licensed mental health clinicians, with over 20-years of combined experience who are dedicated to providing personalized and quality behavioral health services to youth, adults, and couples to address our patients individualized needs. Our mission is to walk with you on your journey of personalized growth and independence.
Our vision is to provide a safe and supportive environment for anyone moving through a journey of healing and recovery. We provide a personalized, individual approach in partnership with our patients towards personal growth and independence.
Our services include but are not limited to individual, group, couples, and family therapy, and peer recovery specialty services including mentors and support groups. Additionally, Belizaire Psychological Services & Consulting is a Jacksonville University approved internship site.
About
Dr. Belizaire, LMHC, CAP
Dr. Belizaire has over 14-years of academic teaching, clinical practice, and consulting experience working with numerous state, nonprofit, and for-profit companies as a teacher, professor, psychotherapist, and clinical director.
Dr. Belizaire holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology from Florida State University, a Master’s of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Sexology / Psychology from the American Academy of Clinical Sexology. He also has his State of Florida Professional Teaching Certification for K-9 Social Studies and K-12 Exceptional Education, State of Florida Psychotherapist Licensure, Board Certified Addictions Professional Licensure, and is a Qualified Supervisor for Mental Health Counselor Interns.
Most notably, Dr. Belizaire opened Belizaire Psychological Services & Consulting in 2012 and has since been successfully providing quality services in Jacksonville and surrounding areas to numerous patients involved with nonprofit and for-profit agencies including but not limited to LSF Health Systems, Inspire to Rise, Duval County Public Schools, local foster care agencies, and employee assistance programs.
Additionally, Dr. Belizaire published two books and two articles, served as a visiting professor at the University of Haiti, served as a panelist discussing the state of mental health in the Caribbean at the University of the Virgin Islands, and is a co-host to Forum Hebdo, a weekly socio-political talk show on 1530 AM / 96.5 FM radio station.
